Neil Haley, The Total Tutor and host of the Total Education Celebrity show, interviewed Diane Franklin to find out how she began as an actor, and her experiences in the movies.
Franklin, best known for her role as one of the princesses in the Bill And Ted films, started her career by appearing in TV commercials for Coca-Cola, Trident, Jell-O, and Maxwell House coffee. Her first film role was in the 1982 film The Last American Virgin as Karen. Her acting resume also includes roles in the 1982 horror film Amityville II: The Possession as Patricia Montelli and the 1985 comedy film Better Off Dead as Monique, the foreign exchange student from France.

This lead to Franklin making the switch to commercials where she took roles along with other famous teen stars.
Franklin said her big break came when she landed a role on the soap opera As the World Turns playing a character who got pregnant and hid her birth control pills. As Franklin recalls, this was a great learning experience for her.

When asked if she considers her character in Better Off Dead her biggest role, Franklin said, “I hope I will be remembered in that role the most. That movie created the kids shows ‘iCarly’ and ‘The Amanda Show.’ Also, that movie is hilarious.”
“Classic movies like Better Off Dead help remind you of high school in the 80s, something many of us can relate to and enjoy,” said GJ Reynolds, CEO of The Simply G Media Network. “These movies can really make you laugh.”

The Total Tutor Show, a Division of the Simply G Media Network, Interviews Three-Time WCW World Champion-Turned-Entrepreneur, Dallas Page

    • Neil Haley, The Total Tutor, joined co-host and entrepreneur GJ Reynolds to interview Diamond Dallas Page about DDP Yoga on The Total Tutor Show. The show, part of the Simply G Media Network, is syndicated on over 100 stations nationwide.
The Total Tutor Show and Simply G Media Network today announced the release of a recent interview with professional wrestling veteran and legend, Diamond Dallas Page. Conducted by trailblazing entrepreneurs Neil Haley and GJ Reynolds, the interview zeroes in on the story behind Page’s own life-changing yoga program, dubbed “DDP Yoga.”
“Page’s mission is to help others stay fit and healthy. He wants others to benefit from the program like he was able to,” said interviewer Neil Haley.
Diamond Dallas Page walked Haley and Reynolds through the discovery of DDP Yoga, which materialized after he suffered what was initially believed to be a career-ending injury. “The doctors thought that I would never wrestle again,” Page said.
During Page’s fourteen-year professional wrestling career, he captivated audiences and made his mark by becoming a three-time world champion. His matches with wrestling legends such as Hulk Hogan, Randy “Macho Man” Savage, and Bill Goldberg became legendary. As networks, actors and professional athletes became more interested in the fan base and ratings that professional wrestling was attracting, Diamond Dallas Page became the unlikely tag team partner of late-night talk show host Jay Leno, basketball great Karl Malone and movie star David Arquette. Pay-per-view and charity match appearances versus Hogan and perennial “bad boy” Dennis Rodman are memorable to both fans and non-fans alike.
Following his devastating injuring, Page turned to yoga as a means of healing and repair. Wanting a more physically challenging regimen, he began honing a unique, custom fitness program that would later become DDP Yoga. Enthusiastically describing his journey during the interview, Page also shared numerous testimonials both from fellow wrestlers and everyday people who have found success with his program.
“He really found something he is passionate about. He was able to transition from being an athlete to a successful entrepreneur by discovering something that really works and sharing it with others,” said Co-Host & Entrepreneur GJ Reynolds. “DDP has found out how rewarding it is to be an entrepreneur promoting his own valuable product. I truly believe in transforming peoples’ lives just like DDP has. We are on the same mission.”

Neil Haley, The Total Tutor and co-host of the Beachlifestyle Radio Show with entrepreneur GJ Reynolds interviewed Bethany Hamilton to find out about her story and her latest projects, and her foundation.
Born to a family of surfers on February 8, 1990, on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, Hamilton has become a source of inspiration to millions through her story of faith, determination, and hope. she began surfing at a young age and, at the age of eight, entered her first surf competition, the Rell Sun Menehune event on Oahu. She won both the short and long board divisions. According to Hamilton, this sparked a love for surf competition.
At the age of 13, while surfing off Kauai’s North Shore, Hamilton was attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark and was left with a severed left arm. After losing more than 60% of her blood, Hamilton required several surgeries. In this interview, she discusses her story and how she persevered.
“I was recovering in the hospital and I was super scared and nervous about losing surfing,” Hamilton said. “In a few days, I was smiling. Now I am so stoked on life being able to surf with one arm.”
Miraculously, just one month after the attack, Hamilton returned to the water to continue pursuing her goal to become a professional surfer. Shortly thereafter, she made her return to surf competition; placing 5th in the Open Women’s division of that contest. With no intention of stopping, Bethany continued to enter and excel in competition. Just over a year after the attack she took 1st place in the Explorer Women’s division of the 2005 NSSA National Championships – winning her first National Title.
Hamilton explains that lifeguards and doctors believe her strong water sense and faith in God helped get her through the traumatic ordeal. Her positive attitude and hard work has made her an inspiration to kids all over the country.
“I am really blessed to be a role model for many girls,” Hamilton said.
In the interview, Reynolds told Hamilton, “You were able to touch and inspire so many people, and you are purposeful about your mission.”
Hamilton also discusses her her book—which she wrote because she wanted to share how she overcame odds and how God is so important to her and helped her get through it—why she started her foundation, and the movie shoot inspired by her life story.
