Author GJ Reynolds and radio host Neil Haley recently interviewed country music celebrity John Rich on Beachlifestyle Radio Show about his experience on “The Apprentice” and his work with St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
“I was so impressed with how down to earth John was and how committed he is to help St. Jude,” said Haley, The Total Tutor.
“We like to partner with organizations like St. Jude,” said Reynolds. “One of our missions is to help children.”
Rich is an American Country Music singer-songwriter who, from 1992 to 1998, was a member of the country music band Lonestar. He played bass guitar and alternated with Richie McDonald as lead vocalist. By 2003, he joined Big Kenny to form the duo Big & Rich. They released three albums on Warner Bros. Records as well as ten singles, including the Number One “Lost in This Moment” After Big & Rich went on hiatus in 2007, Rich began work on a second solo album, Son of a Preacher Man, which has produced two more chart singles. In 2011, Rich released two Extended Plays, Rich Rocks and For the Kids before re-establishing Big & Rich in 2012.
John Rich won the Celebrity Apprentice in 2011. He raised $1,261,908.00 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Rich shared with Reynolds and Haley his experience on the celebrity Apprentice and talked about the strategies he used to win. He also discussed why he did the Apprentice to help raise money for St. Jude.
“This gave me the motivation to stay in the competition,” said Rich. “To know I can help these children really motivated me.”
“Rich was able to stay the course in the Celebrity Apprentice,” said Reynolds.
