Vi 5 Star Ambassador and Vi Millioniare GJ Reynolds Discusses Globesity: Fat’s New Frontier on The Simply G Radio Show, a Division of The Simply G Media Network

Neil Haley, the Total Tutor host of the Simply G Radio Show, interviewed Vi 5 Star Ambassador and Vi Millionaire GJ Reynolds on Globesity: Fat’s New Frontier.
Reynolds is an original founding member in the company ViSalus and is now a 5 Star Ambassador, Vi Millionaire, and CEO of Simply G Media. He has written a book titled “The Playful and Powerful Warrior Within You!” and holds the distinction of completing the Dale Brown Challenge by working out for over 1000 days straight. He is also ranked in the top ten percent of people in social media.
Obesity is no longer just a rich country’s problem. It is now taken hold in poor and emerging countries and is rapidly developing into an insurmountable health crisis. Type 2 diabetes, heart disease and some cancers are on the march in nations ill equipped to treat sufferers or educate others about the dangers of getting too fat. It’s predicted that by 2030 one billion people will be obese, so how will the world cope with its ever expanding waistline?
“We still have a very serious problem,” said obesity specialist Dr. William Dietz of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Duke University health economist Eric Finkelstein, who led the new CDC-funded forecast study, used the information along with other factors that influence obesity rates including food prices, prevalence of fast-food restaurants, unemployment to come up with what he called “very reasonable estimates” for the next two decades.
Finkelstein said, “Part of the reason for the continuing rise is that the population is growing and aging. People ages 45 to 64 are most likely to be obese.”
“If nothing is done, this is going to really hinder efforts to control health care costs,” added study co-author Justin Trogdon of RTI International.
Worse, the already obese are getting fatter. Severe obesity will double by 2030, when 11 percent of adults will be nearly 100 pounds overweight, or more, concluded the research led by Duke University.
As GJ Reynolds pointed out, The Project 10 Challenge is a great solution! The Vi Project 10 Challenge is the leading platform for weight-loss and fitness results, making it fun and easy to set and achieve a 90-day goal. The Challenge is simple. Its fun. And it WORKS! It is a great solution to winning the great obesity epidemic.”
Reynolds shared how the Project 10 Challenge works, “It is so simple and easy to do. Set a goal once you have set your weight-loss, active, or fitness goal. Go public by shooting your “I Want It” video and posting it on challenge.com. Step 2, select a challenge kit based upon your individual goal. Vi offers Challenge Kits with great-tasting products that help anyone to have the results they desire. Instead of adapting your lifestyle to fit a program, the Project 10 Challenge was adapted to fit anyone’s lifestyle. Step 3, enter to WIN. Lose 10 lbs. on PROJECT 10 Challenge, rock a free t-shirt, and earn 10 chances to win $1,000!”
While being overweight increases anyone’s risk of diabetes, heart disease and a host of other ailments, the severely obese are most at risk and the most expensive to treat. Already, conservative estimates suggest obesity-related problems account for at least 9 percent of the nation’s yearly health spending.
