Neil Haley, the Total Tutor host of the Simply G Radio Show, interviewed Entrepreneur and ViMillioniare GJ Reynolds to find out about the importance of having a growth environment in business (Part 2).
Reynolds is an original founding member in the company ViSalus and is now a 5 Star Ambassador, ViMillionaire, and CEO of Simply G Media. He has written the book titled, “The Playful and Powerful Warrior Within You!” and holds the distinction of completing the Dale Brown & Project 10 Challenges by losing 40 pounds and working out for over 1000 days straight. He is also ranked globally in the top ten percent of people in social media.
GJ continued to share in part three of a three-part series some of the key aspects he learned from Leadership Expert John C. Maxwell on what a company needs to do to create a growth environment. He specifically discussed ten ways to create a positive growth environment. GJ also described the ninth way to create a positive growth environment. GJ shared, “It is impossible to grow without change. One has to have a desire to change in order to grow. Plain and simple, one has to be willing to change. It is where growth starts by typically making small adjustments and changes. By having the desire and the willingness to change so there is growth, the personal or business mission and vision may have to be adjusted as well. Most people are resistant to change. Leaders understand there will be change for an organization to grow.”
GJ talked about one of his favorite steps, Step 10, It is a place where growth is modeled and expected. Is the leader modeling it for their team or organization? I personally expect success and I am willing to help anyone who chooses to attain this. Progress requires two steps, learning and doing. Many people believe knowledge is power. Applied knowledge is power. One has to be willing to learn and apply what was learned and apply it.”
Two things will determine the capacity to grow: intentionality and hunger. Is the person willing to walk the walk? Does the intention line up with the actions? How hungry is the person choosing to grow?
